• Mario Mendoza

Mario Mendoza is a Mexican baseball player. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners, and Texas Rangers. “The Mendoza Line,” famous baseball jargon used to describe players who are struggling to bat, was named after Mario Mendoza because he failed to reach .200 five times in his nine big league seasons. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2000.

• Bill Bergan

Bill Bergan is often referred to as one of the worst hitters in MLB history. However, he was known for his best defensive abilities and fielding metrics. He was a catcher for both the Cincinnati Reds and Brooklyn Dodgers. Bill Bergan holds the record for the lowest career batting. 

• Dan Meyer

Daniel Livingston Meyer, popularly known as Dan Meyer is a former professional baseball player. He is said to be one of the worst baseball players because he dominated most of his Major league with the exception of injuries. His career oWAR was -0.2, according to the baseball-reference page.

• Kevin Newman

Kevin Newman, a baseball shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates, was the worst player in MLB 2021. His score in 2021 MLB was .220/.259/.303 with a weighted on-base average (wOBA) of .245. Newman is also said to be the worst offensive player in the Major League so far.  

• Andres Thomas

Andrés Péres Thomas was a shortstop for the Atlanta Braves during 1985-to 1990. During this period, A-Braves lost a minimum of 89 games. He entered the big leagues at the age of 21 and ended his career at 28. His lifetime offensive WAR was -3.9.
