New York History Trivia
The history of New York traces its origin back to 10,000 B.C. It was first discovered by the Europeans in 1524, then the Dutch settled there in 1624, later in 1664 the British took control of the state and renamed it New York in honor of England's King Charles II's brother, James Stuart the Duke of York.
