History of T-shirts

T-shirt (Tee shirt) is a style of clothing that was named after the t-shaped body and sleeves structure. They originally appeared in the United States during the period of the Spanish Civil War of the 19th century. T-shirts were issued to personnel of the US Navy to wear under their uniforms as undergarments. 

The first form of t-shirts was called Union suits, a one-piece white color undergarment with buttons in the front and they were from New York. Soon later, t-shirts gained popularity and underwent various transformations and now t-shirts are more trendy and fashionable according to one’s style preferences.
