  • B. $4.99
  • C. $5.99
  • D. $6.99

The content on USA Today has always been free. But no longer, earlier this month the USA Today owner Gannett has quietly begun to put some of their premium stories behind their paywall. If you are interested in reading those premium stories then you have to proceed further by signing up for a digital-only subscription at $4.99 per month.

Gannett also has also given several hints this year that USA Today has a different goal of moving away from being completely free. They also added that he has a defined goal of reaching 10 million paid subscribers digitally and a tenfold increase in five years which will almost turn USA Today’s 117 million a month customers into digital customers.

They also told once during his meeting that the top priority of the company is “to continue its evolution from a more traditional print media business to a digitally focused content platform.” On the other hand, USA Today has made national digital sales, an important business for Gannett.
