2020 Emmy Award Winners List

An Emmy Award is given to recognize excellence in the television industry. Originally, there was only one Emmy event conducted per year but nowadays, the Emmy Awards are presented at various times in a year, honoring various sectors in the television industry. The first ever Emmy Awards ceremony was conducted on January 25, 1949 at the Hollywood Athletic Club.

There are around 25,000 members in the Academy and they are divided into 30 teams. Voting is done by the judging panels. Later, the nominations and Emmy Award winners are decided according to the top entries.

To make this 2020 a little entertaining, the 2020 Emmy Awards was presented on 20th September. The ceremony was planned to be held at Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles where the 2020 Emmy Award winners were to be announced but due to this COVID-19 pandemic, it was held at the Staples Center. This ceremony was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. The 2020 Emmy Award winners gave virtual speeches from their homes and it was broadcast in the US by American Broadcasting Channel(ABC).
