Know about Doctor strange facts: Multiverse of Madness

SuperBowl has always been a delight for Marvel fans for the past few years. From TV Spots to full-blown trailers, Marvel Studios released trailers of its biggest projects of the year – Moon Knight and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The trailer for the second installation of the Doctor Strange franchise left fans dumbstruck with so many clues and easter eggs. Here you are having some detailed explanation about Doctor strange facts.

Strange Variants? Mystery Cameo? Evil Strange? Zombies? Tom Cruise? Questions still keep piling up but we got you! Here are the major theorized reveals from the second trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!

Let’s begin with Wong’s nerve-chilling dialogue, “The Multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little.”

Who is the Present Sorcerer Supreme?
  • A. Dr. Stephen Strange
  • B. Wong
  • C. The Ancient One
  • D. Baron Mordo

Warning: (Potential) Spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Marvel’s Illuminati?

This moment is definitely the best and the most surprising one! In the trailer, Doctor Strange is arrested for tampering with the Multiverse by Tony Stark’s ‘Iron Legion’ which were destroyed (in the MCU Timeline) in the ‘Age of Ultron.’ Arrested under whose order is where the biggest reveal awaits! Strange is taken to a facility of an organization which is heavily presumed to be the Illuminati’s!

The Illuminati in the Marvel Universe is a secret group of heroes, operating behind the scenes to maintain balance. Things got crazier when a mystery voice said, “We should tell him the truth.”

Patrick Stewart and Tom Cruise Confirmed?

Hard-core fans needed just a second to recognize the mystery voice belonged to Sir Patrick Stewart’s ‘Professor X!’ Last appearing in 2017’s Logan, Sir Patrick Stewart returns as Charles Xavier as a great comeback to the MCU. This also poses a big chance to introduce the mutants to the MCU. The Illuminati reveal doesn’t just end there. There are six chairs according to the trailer in which three were occupied.

Theories suggest that the members of the Illuminati would consist of Captain Carter (Haley Atwell is rumored to have an appearance too), a variant of Doctor Strange, Dr. Reed Richards (Yes! From the Fantastic Four franchise), Professor X, Maria Rambeau, and finally, a variant of Iron Man!

This variant of Iron Man, the ‘Superior Iron Man’ is said to be the strongest and even has three infinity stones in possession. It is heavily rumored that this Iron Man variant will be played by none other than – a collective gasp – Tom Cruise! It is interesting to note that the Mission Impossible star was the first in line to be cast as Iron Man back in 2008, before Robert Downey Jr. got the part! Fans can barely contain their excitement if these legendary actors appear on-screen for this much-awaited movie!

Live-action Transition of ‘What If?’

The recent trailer of Multiverse of Madness makes this concept more clear. Fans were given a sight of Strange Supreme, a darker version of Doctor Strange who was first introduced in Marvel’s animated series ‘What If?’

We were also shown a glimpse of a distorted reality, with buildings oozing into some dark matter, as seen in ‘What If?’ Episode 4. It doesn’t just end there. We also see a live-action version of Gargantos, a multiversal monster from ‘What If?’

This speculation became much of a confirmation in the recent trailer in which a brief shot was dedicated for Marvel’s Zombies! A zombie version of Wanda Maximoff aka. The Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange doubled the excitement for fans. Introduction of zombies in the live-action MCU is a great leap for the Studios, with a future project in the works for the zombie version of our favorite MCU heroes (the project was announced by Marvel Studios on Disney+ Day, 2021).

All we can do now is wait and see if our theories come to life in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, coming to theaters on May 6, 2022.
