The Longest Tennis Match in Tennis History

The longest tennis match ever was between Nicholas Mahut and John Isner in the 2010 Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament. The match was played for three days. On 24th June, the match resumed at 3.40 pm and finally ended at 4.47 at the All England Club in London and lasted a total of 11 hours and 5 minutes. The longest match in tennis history is also known as ‘the endless match.’ Nicholas Mahut and John Isner were awarded the “Best record-breaking performance Award” at ESP. The longest tennis match score was 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-6, 70-68.

Second Longest Tennis Match

In the second-longest tennis match, Czech Republic’s Thomas Berdych and Lukas Rosol won against Stanislas Wawrinka and Marco Chiundinelli of Switzerland. The match lasted for seven hours and two minutes. The second-longest tennis match score was 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-7, 24-22 

Shortest Tennis Match

Jack Harper defeated J. Sandiford at the 1946 Surrey Open Hard Court Championships. The match lasted for just 18 minutes, and this was the shortest men’s singles match on record.  

Steffi Graf beat Natasha Zvereva in 32 minutes at the 1988 French Open. Steffi won 6-0, 6-0 in 32 minutes, and this match was the shortest in modern play. This game was split into two periods 9 and 23 minutes due to rain.  

In the 2014 ATP match between Jarkko Nieminen and Bernard Tomic, Nieminen defeated Bernand Tomic in 28 minutes and 20 seconds. The score was 6-0, 6-1.

Vicky Nelson and Jean Hepner achieved the longest tennis rally. Vicky Nelson took 6 hours, 31 minutes, and the match featured 643- shot rally.
