What is the Apple clothing line called? Apple clothes, also known as, The Apple Collection featured oversized sweatshirts, shirts, tracksuits, trucker hats in vivid patterns, and accessories including belts for men, women, and kids. You will be surprised to learn that Steve Jobs has approved these clothes. Steve Jobs believed in crazy ideas including visiting Sony in the 1980s, uniformed staff, admiring the zealous. He also asked Apple’s employees to adopt a mandatory look featuring a rip-stop nylon jacket, Survivorman style with unzippable sleeves that can create a vest. His own staff booed him off the stage. Apple’s 1986 clothing line aka The Apple Collection was a bad idea at that time. Jobs left Apple by that year. He had nothing to do with it. It was all about pop collars, artistic logos, decorated hats, and sweatshirts in many hues of the Apple rainbow.

Unsuccess Uniform Style

Steve Jobs launched uniformed clothes by thinking these collections could be adopted by his Apple employees. After being inspired on a Japanese business tour, he tried his best to launch a uniform but it couldn’t come true. He stated in an interview that “I came back with some samples and told everyone it would be great if we would all wear these vests.” “Oh man, did I get booed off the stage? Everybody hated the idea.” The uniform style featured an orange nylon windbreaker, a Fred Perry velour tracksuit, and a variety of denim jackets.

Working with Fashion Industry

Apple did not stop with a clothing line, it initiated an effort to be partnered within the fashion industry. The company organized an event in the fall of 2014, in which trend-forward Paris retailer introduced the Apple watch in such a stylish way to the audience. Recently, in 2015, the tech innovators collaborated with the French luxury brand Hermès to launch a limited-edition version of their Apple Watch. It featured a Hermès-branded face, three distinct types of caramel-colored leather straps, and stainless steel case. Apple partnered with the Met Gala 2016, titled “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” The company’s Chief Design Officer Jony Ive served as co-chairs alongside AnnaWintour.
