The Pacific Island of Tonga, Samoa, and Kiribati/Christmas Island, officially known as the Kingdom of Tonga. It is the first country to celebrate the New Year on December 31st by making the whole island first to step into the successful New Year. According to the time zone, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and the Chatham Islands celebrate New Years’ before other countries while Bakers celebrate it the last.
