Jeff Bezos and three crewmates went to space on 20 July 2021, Tuesday at 9:12 a.m. EDT  and flew from a desert area in West Texas. It was an 11 minutes joy ride on the rocket and capsule system designed by his own space company called Blue Origin. The rocket went slowly towards the sky at first, then it gathered momentum and went swiftly and reached the maximum of 2,233 mph, and topped out at an altitude of 351,210 feet. The company Blue Origin’s capsule landed in West Texas at 9:22 a.m. EDT.

  • An anonymous buyer offered $28 million to Blue Origin. The crew members were the 18th-year-old, Oliver Daemenson of Dutch financier, 53 old Bezos’ brother, and the former astronaut instructor Wally Funk, 82. Daemen was the youngest person to travel to space and Funck was the oldest person.
  • Jeff Bezos has desired to travel to space since he was five years old. He established Amazon.com Inc. as an online book store from his Seattle garage in 1994 that turned into the largest online retailer in the world. This made him the richest man on the planet with a net worth of $200 billion, as reported by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
  • Jeff has been selling Amazon stocks to spend on Blue Origin that is located in Kent, Washington. The company runs with 3,5000 employees and also constructs engines that are used to launch satellites.
