Who is LeBron James?

There is no way there can be another basketballer as legendary as LeBron. Born on Dec 30, 1984, LeBron is a native of Akron, Ohio, USA. It is said that he started playing basketball when he was just nine years old. From then, there was no turning back for this legend as he went on to secure his place in the NBA. Not just this, he also became the youngest player to reach 10,000 points. Wait, there’s more to be in awe of this epic basketballer.

2003

His impressive performance in his school basketball tournaments did pay off. When LeBron was just 18, he was the first pick of the 2003 NBA draft for his home team Cleveland Cavaliers. This is when his career in basketball kicked off. In 2004, he drew world attention by winning the youngest Rookie Award of the Year along with becoming the youngest player to score more than 50 points in a single game. 

2010

Despite having the option to become a free agent, LeBron continued to play for his home team the Cleveland Cavaliers initially. But, later went on to join the Miami Heat franchise. That year, he reached a whopping 15,000 career points in total.

2014

LeBron made history in 2014 by scoring an unprecedented 61 points in the game against the Charlotte Bobcats. This is LeBron’s best score to date. 

2015

Soon after his career best, LeBron became the youngest player to reach 25,000 points in the year 2015. He had rejoined the Cavaliers, his home team when he achieved this feat. Following this victory, James didn’t take much time to reach the 30,000 mark in 2018. In a matter of 5 years, he joined the 30k club. 

Records Broken by LeBron James

LeBron had joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 and continues to play for the team to date. In 2019, LeBron broke Michael Jordan’s scoring record by reaching 32, 293 points in a match against the Denver Nuggets. Another important milestone in his career is that LeBron has accumulated more than 7000 playoff points in total. He also holds the record for the most 30 plus play-off games.
