NASA’s Plan for Space Missions in 2022

Regardless of the fast-growing billionaire space missions, NASA steals the show every single time with its advanced ideas and 2022 is no different. 

NASA aims to test its SLS (Space Launching System) this 2022.  The SLS is a next-generation rocket designed by the American space agency to launch humans and supplies in one go. 

Previously, astronauts were sent into space with a small number of basic supplies. Water, food, and other day-to-day necessities followed en route after a safe landing. The same went for transferring repair equipment, fuel, and other requirements. 

At present, NASA’s Artemis program aims to cut down the cost, manpower, and time consumed on these by developing an all-in-one rocket. Apart from this, the program has decided to send the first person of color and a woman to set foot on the Moon in 2022. 

India’s 2022 Space Mission Plan: Chandrayaan 3

The Chandrayaan 1 mission was India’s first space mission. The robot explorer or rover for shot landed safely on the surface of the moon in 2008 but was lost shortly until NASA found it using a radar system. The Chandrayaan 2 mission was launched in 2019. The Vikram lander that carries the second version of the rover crash-landed but the rover began its intended function soon. 

India is now set to launch Chandrayaan 3 in 2022 to explore the availability of water on the Moon’s surface. 

SLIM Space Mission Plan by Japan

Japan’s latest space mission abbreviated as SLIM stands for Smart Lander for Investigating the Moon. The UAE rover will be launched through a Japanese lander from SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. The April 2022 mission will study landing patterns on the moon. 

Billionaire Space Missions in 2022

Billionaire space missions have made Space Tourism a trend for the elite now. Elon Musk’s SpaceX, Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin, and Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic are competing with each other to deliver the next generation of Space Travel and 2022 is filled with plans for these private space agencies.

Elon Musk has partnered with NASA to launch a reusable rocket into earth’s orbit by 2022. Several test flights will be conducted by the company to ensure the safety, durability, and performance of the reusable rocket. The space agency will launch rockets, rovers, and others through this rocket and new plans for future space missions in 2023.

SpaceX also plans to launch several other interested individuals to the ISS for a visit. The list also includes the first black woman to visit ISS as a crew member.
