Biden Updates Outdoor Mask Guidelines

Fully vaccinated people are allowed to engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, walking without wearing masks. When people go out in public places, they must wear face masks, President Joe Biden and United States health regulators said on Tuesday. This news may motivate others to get the shot.

As reported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than half of adults from America have now vaccinated at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The US president Joe Biden stated that the new advice resulted from the country’s determination to fight the COVID-19 virus.

Biden said that the county made stunning progress because of this improvement, COVID-19 cases dropped dramatically. Senior citizens’ death rate has decreased by 80 percent as vaccinations have drastically increased.

Biden further stated that if people get vaccinated, they can freely do more things, more safely, both indoor and outdoor activities. But he urges people that masks should be worn in crowded places, including stadium events.

According to experts wearing face masks is one of the effective ways to control virus transmission. Americans can enjoy and do more activities if they are fully vaccinated.

The current CDC’s guidelines may help Americans resume their activities which they have withdrawn due to the pandemic.

New cases of COVID-19 decreased by 16 percent in the previous week. The United States surpassed every country for making 140 million people get at least one shot of authorized vaccines from BioNTech, Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson and receive Johnson’s one dose vaccine.

The CDC reported, around 29 percent of the United States population received the vaccination, and 43 percent have received one dose of the two-shot vaccines.

The White House is ready to overcome vaccine hesitancy, and Joe Biden provided the new mask guidelines on Tuesday.

The US president said, “So, for those who haven’t gotten their vaccination, especially if you’re younger or thinking you don’t need it, this is another great reason to go get vaccinated.”

Outdoor Activities Guidelines

As reported by the CDC, fully vaccinated Americans can go out for dinner with friends from various households at restaurants and are allowed to attend small outdoor gatherings with fully vaccinated people.

CDC further recommends wearing face coverings for crowded outdoor activities such as sports events, parades, and informal gatherings to the shopping malls, hair salons, movie theatres, and churches.

Based on the level of safety for people who haven’t got vaccinated, the agency divided activities into three sections such as yellow, green and red.

It is advised unvaccinated people also go for a walk or run outside with household members and participate in small outdoor activities with fully vaccinated people.

Based on data,  it is less likely to happen in the future that vaccinated people can infect those who haven’t received their shots and the CDC recommends people should be aware of the risks to family members and friends if they go out without wearing masks.
