It is not surprising to us that the Amazon president is still the richest person in the world. He lost $10 billion in one year but he is on top. His current net worth is $115.6B.
According to a Forbes rating, Amazon holds the highest net worth whereas Bill Gate’s net worth is estimated at around $96.5 billion. The chief executive officer of Amazon has been announced as the richest person and the first centi billionaire who had appeared on the Forbes 400 in 2018.
The American entrepreneur stated, “We expect all our businesses to have a positive impact on our top and bottom lines. Profitability is very important to us or we wouldn’t be in this business.”
Jeff Bezos still held the same title and in the same spot on the final day of the year 2019. As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, his net worth was $115 billion. Jeff was closely-ranked by Microsft founder Bill Gates who couldn’t make it to the top, whose estimated net worth was $113 billion.
After Jeff’s divorce with ex-wife Mackenzie Bezos, it was expected he would be knocked out from the position in the Billionaire Index. It was decided that he will have 75% from Amazon stock and the remaining will go his ex-wife. That makes her hold the 25th place in the richest person list.
But in November Gates took over Jeff’s top spot. Unfortunately, the period was short-lived. The familiar faces occupied the top 10 places. Warren Buffett stayed and Mark Zuckerberg stayed in 4th and 5th places.
His successful business ventures never allow him to face a knockout. Jeff launched Amazon.com with a meaningful term ‘Amazon’ which refers to the South American river, on July 16, 1995. It was a marketplace for selling books online at the initial stage across the U.S and 45 foreign countries and later it has expanded to sell software, electronics, video games, attire. Amazon has been recognized by the world since 1997. He also owns the space company called Blue Orgin.
