A Quick Recap of the Harry Potter Series

Let’s say thanks to this incredible lady-JK Rowling for creating such a magical world. It’s been 19 years since Harry Potter’s first series was released in theatres and gained popularity for its wide cultural phenomenon.

Let’s have a quick recap of the third-highest-grossing film Harry Potter and the series as a whole.

The immensely famous Harry Potter’s first book was released in 1997 in Britain and also appeared in the United States with the title Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

The Harry Potter series is packed with imaginary storylines, supernatural elements and more. It is a fiction of a wizard Harry’s quest to defeat the Dark Lord Voldemort.

The First Book-The Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone

The first book has an enthralling start that includes Harry’s childhood life and how the evil Lord Voldemort (you shouldn’t call his name loudly) kills Harry’s parents and also attempts to kill Harry. Fortunately, he is discovered in front of his Aunt and Uncle’s home with a cursed mark on his forehead. Harry learns that he has some magical ability. The sad part is he lives in the cupboard that is built under stairs. Harry knows that he is not going to get the love of parents like his rotund cousin.

If you remember they didn’t celebrate Harry’s birthday whereas his cousin receives special treatment on his birthday and gets gifts too.

Harry accepts an invitation letter from the magical school despite the fact that both Aunt and Uncle try to stop him. In Hogwarts, he learns to use his magical abilities and has many thrilling adventures. 

The Second Book-The Chamber of Secrets.

In this book, they reveal how Harry potter is confined by aunt and uncle and unable to contact his friends. Surprisingly Ron visits Harry’s place with his flying car to take with him to the school for another year. Moreover, Harry meets Ron’s family and his siblings. Then they attend the school which is under attack. Harry solely fights to save the school because it is his only home.

The Third Book-The Prisoner of Azkaban

In the 3rd book, Harry and his friends investigate the Lord Voldemort’s all Sirius Black.  It is another unordinary year at Hogwarts. Harry finds the mass murderer Sirius Black who escaped from prison. He is a supporter of Lord Voldemort. People say that he is coming after Harry. In his Divination class, he discovers signs of death in his tea leaves.

The Fourth Book-The Goblet of Fire

In the 4th book, the Triwizard Tournament begins at Hogwarts. The wizards aged 17 or above are eligible to take part. But the Goblet Fire picks its choice of participants and Harry was one of them though his age is 14. He takes part and conquers death-defying tasks.

The Fifth Book-The Order of the Phoenix

Hogwarts is yet to face the dark time. Harry learns after the Dementors’ attack on his cousin Dudley. Lord Voldemort doesn’t stop until he finds Harry. Harry and others gather at Grimmauld Place so that he can plan to fight against the Dark forces. Harry should allow Snapes to teach how to stop Lord Voldemort’s onslaughts on his head. The book ends with an enchanting mystery.

The Sixth Book-The Half-Blood Prince

The 6th book talks about how Harry prepares himself for the final battle with the Dark Lord. The wizard world is full of secrets and surprises and students believe that Hogwarts is not a safe place anymore. Harry knows Malfoy has the Dark Mark that there is a death eater who is around them. Further, Harry tries to learn more magical powers to explore Voldemort’s darkest secrets. It is the time when Harry is about to face his destiny.

The Final Book-The Deathly Hallows

The final battle has to start! Harry needs to face and fight against him. The death eaters are hunting to capture Harry. Lord Voldemort targets Harry Potter’s loved ones. The protective charm breaks and he is unsafe now. Harry must destroy the remaining Horcruxes as soon as possible.
